The Miami Dolphins<\/a> currently have three tight ends set to hit the market when the new league year starts, as Darren Waller and Greg Dulcich will be unrestricted free agents, and Julian Hill will be a restricted free agent.<\/p>\n Interestingly, a former Dolphins<\/a> tight end is hitting the market early and could be an option for Miami this offseason, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported<\/a> that the Pittsburgh Steelers are releasing Jonnu Smith.<\/p>\n Smith, 30, spent the 2024 season with the Dolphins after four years with the Tennessee Titans<\/a>, two with the New England Patriots and one with the Atlanta Falcons. In 17 games with Miami, he caught 88 passes for 884 yards and eight touchdowns on his way to the Pro Bowl for the first time.<\/p>\n After career highs in the three major categories, the Dolphins sent Smith, along with Jalen Ramsey and a 2027 seventh-round pick, to the Pittsburgh Steelers for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. In 17 games, he caught 38 passes for 222 yards and two scores.<\/p>\n At this point, Jalin Conyers, Cole Turner and Zack Kuntz are the only tight ends under contract in Miami for the 2026 season.
