The Chicago Bears<\/a> are widely viewed as one of the top potential destinations for Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby, and Crosby himself may want to play for the defending NFC North champions.<\/p>\n

But would the Bears be making a mistake in trading for the five-time Pro Bowler?<\/p>\n

The Raiders are apparently seeking a Micah Parsons type of package in return for Crosby, meaning they would like a pair of first-round draft picks in a deal. Some have wondered whether or not Crosby \u2014 who racked up 73 tackles and 10 sacks in 15 games this past season \u2014 is worth a similar haul.<\/p>\n

Additionally, some new concerns have emerged regarding Crosby thanks to a report from Michael Silver of The Athletic<\/a>, and Chicago may want to take heed.<\/p>\n

Apparently, Crosby doesn\u2019t have much respect for quarterbacks in practice.<\/p>\n

Silver revealed that Crosby has actually been very difficult to corral.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Crosby blossomed into one of the league\u2019s best players, [Jon] Gruden\u2019s full-time successors in Las Vegas \u2014 Josh McDaniels, Antonio Pierce and Pete Carroll \u2014 found themselves powerless to contain him,\u201d Silver wrote.<\/p>\n

Based on the rest of Silver\u2019s revelation, Caleb Williams and the Bears might be a bit wary of bringing Crosby into the fold.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrosby, several witnesses say, would frequently violate one of football\u2019s most sacred practice rules by making contact with red-jersey-clad quarterbacks \u2014 and get away with it,\u201d Silver added.<\/p>\n

And Crosby\u2019s reasoning for breaking the rules? One witness exposed a pretty harsh quote from the star pass rusher.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cHis attitude was, \u2018If you don\u2019t want me to do it, then block me.\u2019 And nobody was in position to challenge that,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

On one hand, you have to appreciate Crosby\u2019s aggression and work ethic. But on the other side of the coin, you don\u2019t want to have to worry about your quarterback getting injured in practice, and you also don\u2019t want any of your players not adhering to the coaching staff.<\/p>\n

Will this stop Chicago from pursuing a trade for Crosby? Certainly not, but head coach Ben Johnson should immediately be prepared to lay down the law if the Bears do ultimately acquire the former fourth-round pick.<\/p>\n
