The Washington Commanders<\/a> have several notable players set to hit free agency this offseason.<\/p>\n

One of these players in edge rusher Von Miller, who will soon have his 37th birthday. Despite his age, Miller was still impressive in 2025 and even led the team with nine sacks. However, the Commanders want to get younger and faster, and Miller may want to join a team more ready to contend.<\/p>\n

Miller recently appeared on the “Rich Eisen Show<\/a>” and talked about his time with the Commanders and his future plans. The veteran said he isn’t ready to retire because teams are still “falling for his tricks.” Wagner also mentioned that he “would love” to return to the Commanders.<\/p>\n

“I’m a loyal guy, I would love to stay with the Washington Commanders<\/a>,” said Wagner. “I love the way they run the organization. I would love to be a Washington Commander.”<\/p>\n

However, Miller also went on to reveal that he almost signed with another team instead of the Commanders last offseason. The veteran mentioned that it took a while for his phone to ring during free agency, but he eventually received two contract offers: one from the Commanders and one from the Seattle Seahawks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“You can only sign one contract. I made the decision to sign with the Washington Commanders, and the other team, they went on to win the Super Bowl,” Miller said. “However, I would’ve made the same decision (signing with Washington) ten times out of ten.”<\/p>\n

Miller fortunately has two Super Bowl rings already, so he’s probably not losing any sleep about not getting his third.<\/p>\n

While the veteran has made it known he’s open to a reunion, it remains to be seen if the Commanders agree. If the Commanders do bring the veteran back, it will be interesting to see if he can replicate his production from 2025.<\/p>\n
