If Evans does not return to Tampa Bay, keep an eye on the Bills, Chargers, 49ers, Commanders, and Giants. His price is going to be difficult to gauge, though. He will be 33 this season, coming off an injured year, and there aren’t many comparisons to him out there. Evans may aim for something close to $25 million per year in what would amount to a two-year deal, but sources believe he will get something closer to $20 million per year.

The Giants are certainly in the market for another big-time playmaker to pair with Malik Nabers and may not use their No. 5 overall selection on one, opting to fill another need with that pick.

Evans has played his entire 12-year NFL career with the Bucs and has always said he wanted to retire a Buc. But things are getting tight all over the league, despite the salary cap going up by $22 million this year, and the Bucs, who are $19 million over the cap, may decide to go in another direction.

Evans, on the other hand, might opt for a team that is closer to winning a Super Bowl. Buffalo, San Francisco, and the Chargers have all been perennial playoff teams, and Evans could find those clubs more attractive.

This article originally appeared on Giants Wire: Could New York Giants be a landing spot for Mike Evans in free agency?

[2077
220,211,7,221,1981,118,4126,700,56,6,1161,704,250,2597,2596
0":"post-793814","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tampa-bay-buccaneers","8":"tag-49ers","9":"tag-buccaneers","10":"tag-football","11":"tag-houston","12":"tag-jonathan-jones","13":"tag-kansas-city","14":"tag-malik-nabers","15":"tag-mike-evans","16":"tag-new-york-giants","17":"tag-nfl","18":"tag-san-francisco","19":"tag-tampa-bay","20":"tag-tampa-bay-buccaneers","21":"tag-tampabay","22":"tag-tampabaybuccaneers
["GET
