The Buffalo Bills<\/a> have their new best wide receiver.<\/p>\n

It’s DJ Moore, in a trade from the Chicago Bears<\/a>. And unlike some of the other trade rumors that had been floating around, Moore is a little less known.<\/p>\n

That’s probably because he spent the first half of his NFL career with the Carolina Panthers<\/a> (where he did overlap a bit with new Bills head coach Joe Brady).<\/p>\n

But because of that, it’s worth breaking down why this can be a win for the Bills.<\/p>\n

Is DJ Moore good?<\/p>\n

Yes, DJ Moore remains a high-quality NFL wide receiver.<\/p>\n

Moore was originally a first-round pick (No. 24) by the\u00a0Carolina Panthers<\/a>\u00a0in 2018.<\/p>\n

He spent five years with the Panthers, catching 364 passes for 5,201 yards and 21 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Moore then spent the past three seasons with the Bears<\/a>, reeling in 244 passes for 3,012 yards and 20 TDs.<\/p>\n

He had 96 catches in 2023 and 98 in 2024 before just 50-682-6 in 2025.<\/p>\n

Moore’s game is a lot like Stefon Diggs, who was a superstar when paired with Josh Allen.<\/p>\n

The Bills will still have Khalil Shakir getting a lot of work out of the slot, but on the outside, it’ll be Moore getting the most action.<\/p>\n

He’ll turn 29 in April, so Moore likely still has some of his prime remaining. The Bears traded him because they had younger players emerge at WR, but it’s not an indictment of his talent.<\/p>\n

This deal has the potential to work out really nicely for Buffalo. It also removes the pressure to draft a WR in the first round.<\/p>\n

Super Bowl chances increase thanks to this addition, for sure.<\/p>\n
