{"id":79446,"date":"2025-05-26T03:58:17","date_gmt":"2025-05-26T03:58:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/79446\/"},"modified":"2025-05-26T03:58:17","modified_gmt":"2025-05-26T03:58:17","slug":"are-the-two-best-nfl-players-under-the-age-of-25-from-utah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/79446\/","title":{"rendered":"Are the two best NFL players under the age of 25 from Utah?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s no secret that Utah boasts a great deal of football talent, but one outlet believes two Beehive State products to be among the NFL\u2019s best young players.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pff.com\/news\/nfl-ranking-top-25-players-under-25-2025-nfl-season?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=dhtwitter&amp;utm_content=null\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Pro Football Focus;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Pro Football Focus<\/a> released its ranking of the top 25 players in the league under the age of 25, and a pair of Utah natives were chosen for the top two spots: Detroit Lions offensive tackle Penei Sewell came in at No. 1, with Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua finishing right behind at No. 2.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>This is Sewell\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pff.com\/news\/nfl-ranking-top-25-players-under-25-2024-nfl-season-sauce-gardner-cj-stroud\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:second consecutive year;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">second consecutive year<\/a> topping the list, while Nacua held the No. 12 spot on last year\u2019s ranking.<\/p>\n<p>Sewell, who prepped at Deseret Hills High in St. George and was a first round draft selection out of Oregon, has earned First Team All-Pro honors in each of the past two seasons, grading as PFF\u2019s No. 3 overall offensive tackle in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2022, he has allowed four total sacks, anchoring Detroit\u2019s offensive line as one of the main contributors behind the team\u2019s ascension to the top of the NFC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSewell\u2019s run-blocking ability is his best asset, as he owns a 95.2 PFF run-blocking grade for his career \u2014 the second-best mark among all offensive linemen since entering the league in 2021,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pff.com\/news\/nfl-ranking-top-25-players-under-25-2025-nfl-season?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=dhtwitter&amp;utm_content=null\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:wrote;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">wrote<\/a> Jonathon Macri of PFF.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost impressive about Sewell\u2019s top PFF overall grade is that he has played more snaps (4,773) than any other qualifying player for this list, keeping him as the top player under 25 for one more year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former BYU star and Orem High alum Nacua burst onto the scene in 2023 by breaking a number of NFL rookie receiving records and becoming a household name across the league.
