Considering how the room was below average this past season, it’s not a surprise that the team is looking at ways to improve the quality of the room. The front office is proactive in its approach to improving the roster, in general, looking for any way to improve the team.

Browns trade for another receiver?

It’s unlikely that Cleveland trades for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, and don’t expect the Jacksonville Jaguars to part ways with Brian Thomas Jr., at least at a reasonable price.

In Olave’s case, it’s about whether he and the Saints will get an extension done. The Saints exercised his fifth year option, making him eligible for an extension. However, if a deal doesn’t get done, New Orleans could be interested in moving him instead of losing him in free agency the following offseason. As for Harrison Jr, it’s more about whether the Cardinals are interested in moving him after a disappointing start to his NFL career. The Cardinals aren’t shopping Harrison Jr., but if the right price were to come up, Arizona would be interested.

If the Browns choose to trade for a receiver, either one of those players could end up in Cleveland. If not, Berry and the Browns have another option.

Browns NFL Draft: WR early?

This current wide receiver draft class for the receivers is deeper and better than last year’s. The Browns have already met with Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate, Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson and Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston. Noticeable names in a talented class. Cleveland can’t go wrong with any one of the receivers in this class.

Most, if not all, fans want the Browns to take the Buckeyes star in Tate. Tate is your prototypical X that can be a WR1 in the right situation. Tate could fit in easily in Cleveland and would be WR1 by default. Tyson, who is the brother of Cleveland Cavaliers small forward Jaylon Tyson, is another name that could work. Tyson has some injury concern that could push him down draft boards. Boston is a big-bodied receiver who needs to be used properly to get the full value.

In terms of talent, the Browns can’t go wrong with any receiver because the room lacks talent and the room can benefit from an infusion of young talent with a ton of upside. Considering their draft capital this season, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Cleveland ends up with one or two receivers in the first four rounds of the 2026 NFL draft class alone.

Perhaps Berry remakes the receiver room with a big trade and adds talent early in the draft. The problem for the Browns is that the roster has needs all over the offense and only so many assets to use to fill those needs.

Do you think the WR position is one where the Browns should invest multiple strong assets to upgrade this offseason or just one big one?

As free agency approaches this month, it’s a given that the Cleveland Browns will be in the market…

[4
4397,52261,1696,7,6,15
0":"post-796304","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nfl-draft","8":"tag-cleveland-browns-draft","9":"tag-cleveland-browns-rumors","10":"tag-cleveland-browns-roster","11":"tag-football","12":"tag-nfl","13":"tag-nfl-draft
["GET
