The NFL<\/a> is witnessing monster trades ahead of the new league year. Come Wednesday, these trades will become official.<\/p>\n

The AFC North witnessed one of its own franchises create a monster trade. The Baltimore Ravens acquired Maxx Crosby in a blockbuster transaction.<\/p>\n

That means the AFC North will have Crosby, TJ Watt (and company), and Myles Garrett at the EDGE. You know who doesn\u2019t have this kind of firepower? The Cincinnati Bengals.<\/p>\n

Joe Burrow has to be watching this unfold and only think, \u201cHow the hell am I going to survive this?\u201d <\/p>\n

Not only do the Bengals lack an adequate pass rush, but they also lack adequate offensive line protection. That\u2019s bad news for Burrow.<\/p>\n

Not only will Burrow have to avoid the NFL\u2019s best pass rush six times a year, but he might be playing from behind often. The Bengals\u2019 defense isn\u2019t going to magically improve.<\/p>\n

Defensive coordinator Al Golden failed to improve the team\u2019s performance last year. They might\u2019ve even got worse.<\/p>\n

What gives the Bengals confidence in a turnaround? There\u2019s been little change on the o-line and defense.<\/p>\n

If Burrow wants to reach the Super Bowl again, or even just survive his NFL career, he needs to consider a trade request.<\/p>\n

I get it. He will be leaving two elite weapons. However, he has missed significant time due to injury. Burrow needs to stay healthy.<\/p>\n

If things go poorly in pass protection this season, could requesting a trade next year be too late? He needs to consider the long-term picture\u2014and quickly.<\/p>\n

If not, then the risks simply will outweigh any type of reward for Burrow on the Bengals. He\u2019s already questioned things before\u2014it\u2019s time to dive deeper and make the right decision.<\/p>\n
