In the wake of the tragic passing of former NFL wide receiver\u00a0Rondale Moore at the age of just 25, several\u00a0players took to social media to express their condolences and grieve the loss.<\/p>\n
However, when it came time for Moore\u2019s funeral on Saturday, only a handful of players actually showed up, leading former Atlanta Falcons teammate\u00a0Kyle Pitts\u00a0to take to social media and express his disgust with his colleagues.<\/p>\n

Just at a loss of words.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBe woke on who your \u2018Brothers\u2019 really are, who really rock with you in all areas of life not just in front of cameras or the public!\u201d he continued. \u201cFolks just want to throw up a post and not mean it but we ball yb as Kur said \u2018it might hurt a little\u2019 but we Ball.\u201d<\/p>\n Moore and Pitts were teammates for just one season in 2024, and Moore missed the entire season due to injury. But it\u2019s clear the two formed a close enough bond that Pitts felt compelled to attend the funeral service.<\/p>\n \u201cThis can\u2019t be real dawg,\u201d Pitts wrote in an Instagram post<\/a> following Moore\u2019s passing from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in late February. \u201cI\u2019m really sitting here crying on even what to say or think bruh.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Pitts was far from the only player to post similar sentiments on social media. Scores of players posted similar sentiments<\/a>, although it appears those sentiments weren\u2019t strong enough to attend the funeral service.<\/p>\n Pitts did not indicate who else attended the service. And it\u2019s entirely possible that players had other obligations that made it difficult to attend. But Pitts\u2019 message is certainly a poignant one, and shows the value of forming relationships that go beyond just the workplace or social media.<\/p>\n \t\t\t
