Jordan Davis has agreed to a 3-year extension with the Philadelphia Eagles for $78 million, according to NFL Network\u2019s Ian Rapoport<\/p>\n

The contract, which includes $65 million guaranteed, makes the defensive tackle the highest-paid nose tackle in NFL history<\/p>\n

Eagles defensive tackles Jalen Carter and Moro Ojomo are also eligible for contract extensions this offseason<\/p>\n

On Saturday, March 7, NFL Network\u2019s Ian Rapoport announced on X<\/a> that the Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle, 26, agreed to a 3-year extension with the team for $78 million.<\/p>\n

While this extension ties the athlete to Philadelphia for the next four seasons, the contract \u2014 which includes $65 million guaranteed \u2014\u00a0also makes him the highest-paid nose tackle ever.<\/p>\n

The $26 million per year on his extension also tied Davis for second in average annual salary among interior defensive linemen alongside former teammate Milton Williams, per ESPN<\/a>. Above them is Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones.<\/p>\n

In addition to Davis, defensive tackles Jalen Carter and Moro Ojomo are also eligible for contract extensions this offseason.<\/p>\n

After getting selected 13th overall by the Eagles in the 2022 NFL Draft, Davis has spent his entire four-year career in Philadelphia following his standout performance at the University of Georgia.<\/p>\n

Along with starting all 17 games for the Eagles in each of the past three seasons, the football star played a major role in leading his team to victory during the 2025 Super Bowl<\/a> with two sacks and a crucial take-down of Patrick Mahomes<\/a> on the first drive of the third quarter.<\/p>\n

Davis is also coming off the best statistical season of his career, during which he established career highs across the board with 72 tackles, 4.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss and six passes defended for the Eagles. The team won the NFL East in 2025 before falling to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card Round of the playoffs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always wanted to be the best player I can be for the team,\u201d he said two days after the Eagles season ended, per Sports Illustrated<\/a>. \u201cWhatever happens after that, happens. I\u2019m not doing this for just selfish reasons. I\u2019m doing this because I want to be the best player I can be for the team. I love this team. I love this program. They gave me an opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt like it was my duty to be the best player I can be,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019m still focusing on growth. This is not the best that I\u2019ve been. This is not the best that I can be. I\u2019m always scratching, I\u2019m always clawing for the ceiling \u2026 I just want to reach that.\u201d<\/p>\n
