Less than 24 hours after being traded to the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, Maxx Crosby gave an emotional goodbye to the Las Vegas Raiders and their fans on his podcast, \u201cThe Rush.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI put everything into trying to win as a Raider\u2026. It\u2019s been a damn journey,\u201d Crosby said before recalling his memories of being drafted in 2019 and receiving a call from then-head coach Jon Gruden. \u201cIt felt perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEver since I\u2019ve been here, I\u2019ve had one goal and one mission, and that\u2019s to become the best version of myself and help bring a championship back to the Raider organization,\u201d he continued. \u201cI feel like I left everything I had on the table for this team. I\u2019ve given my heart and soul, and I feel like \u2026 I let you all down, man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crosby played seven seasons for the Raiders, averaging 10 sacks per year. But in only one of those seasons did the Raiders have a winning record and make the playoffs. During the 2021-22 campaign, Las Vegas finished 10-7 and lost in the wild-card round<\/a> to the Cincinnati Bengals.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the most fun year I\u2019ve ever had playing football,\u201d Crosby said. \u201cIt was an absolute journey, to say the least.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crosby went on to thank team owner Mark Davis for giving him an opportunity, allowing him to grow as a player and for standing by him when he checked into rehab for alcoholism after his rookie season. He also singled out Mike Mayock, the general manager who drafted him.<\/p>\n

The five-time Pro Bowler also emphasized how much he loves Raiders fans and said the circumstances that led to him being traded were \u201ca whirlwind.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou guys have supported me through it all; the ups, the downs,\u201d he said. \u201cThe passion. I understand people have their opinions and people are gonna be upset. You guys have every right to be upset. I totally understand that because you guys have passion for the game and you love this team and organization, and want to have a winner, just like myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crosby said he had \u201cno ill will\u201d toward the Raiders, but fans and media might notice that he didn\u2019t thank minority owner Tom Brady until the very end, referring to him as \u201cBrady\u201d with the ownership group.<\/p>\n

Nor did Crosby mention Brady\u2019s longtime associate Alex Guerrero, currently employed as the team\u2019s \u201cwellness coordinator.\u201d Crosby and other Raiders players were reportedly \u201cfrustrated\u201d with Guerrero and his role in the organization, according to The Athletic\u2019s Mike SIlver<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yet after singling out Raiders strength and conditioning coach Rick Slate, trainer Rick Grant for their work together, Crosby said he was \u201cso excited\u201d to join the Ravens and help them try to win a Super Bowl.<\/p>\n
