The Buffalo Bills<\/a> were not expected to keep offensive lineman Connor McGovern in a fold.<\/p>\n

That idea only lasted a few days.<\/p>\n

According to The Athletic’s Dianni Russini, the Bills and their center have agreed to a four-year contract just days before the start of free agency on March 11:<\/p>\n

McGovern anchored Buffalo’s offensive line in the middle last year.\u00a0Pro Football Focus<\/a>\u00a0ranked the Bills’ O-line as the sixth-best in the NFL at the end of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

The agreement has come about despite McGovern telling The Athletic last week he had not heard from the Bills regarding a new contract. McGovern said he believed his tenure was believed to be “over and down with” in Buffalo.<\/p>\n

Evidently, McGovern’s words changed something. He also mentioned last week he’d like to remain in Buffalo… and now McDermott does.<\/p>\n
