The Miami Dolphins parted ways with fullback Alec Ingold just two days ago \u2014 but the soon-to-be 30 year-old has already found a new home. He\u2019ll join former Dolphins head coach \u2014 now Chargers offensive coordinator \u2014 Mike McDaniel with the Los Angeles Chargers after signing a two-year, $7.5 million deal with the organization.<\/p>\n
Ingold\u2019s average of $3.75 million per year puts him in a tie with Kyle Juszczyk of the San Francisco 49ers for the highest paid fullback in the National Football League according to NFL insider, Tom Pelissero.<\/p>\n
Ingold spent the last four seasons in Miami after joining the team ahead of the 2022 season. During his time with the Dolphins, Ingold totaled two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown, while catching 47 passes for 372 yards and rushing for just 34 yards on 20 carries.<\/p>\n
The deal gets done the night before the legal tampering period kicks off on Monday afternoon, while the actual start of free agency doesn\u2019t officially begin until Wednesday.<\/p>\n
