He was the Texans&#8217; best run blocker, showing the ability to open holes, and, while he struggled in pass-pro at times, wasn&#8217;t as consistently porous as his Minnesota experience.<\/p>\n<p>The $12.5 million per year on the three-year pact puts Ingram tied for 20th among guards &#8212; tied with Jaguars&#8217; <a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" style=\"word-break: break-word\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/patrick-mekari\/\" title=\"Patrick Mekari\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Patrick Mekari<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Texans spent the early part of the offseason trading away offensive linemen, shipping right tackle <a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" style=\"word-break: break-word\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/tytus-howard-x1979\/\" title=\"Tytus Howard\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tytus Howard<\/a> to Cleveland for a fifth-rounder, and adding <a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" style=\"word-break: break-word\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/juice-scruggs\/\" title=\"Juice Scruggs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Juice Scruggs<\/a> to a package for running back David Montgomery. The moves spurred questions about GM Nick Caserio&#8217;s plan to revamp one of the NFL&#8217;s worst offensive lines.
