The countdown to free agency is winding down with familiar faces likely heading to new places over the next few days. Changes on the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> roster are anticipated, especially on the defensive line, where there is a rumored chance of a perennial Pro Bowler joining this offseason.<\/p>\n According to A to Z Sports\u2019 Charles Goldman<\/a>, the Chiefs could take a chance on signing 8-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Cameron Jordan. The longtime New Orleans Saints star could be looking for a change of scenery at 36 years old and has a previous working relationship with Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.<\/p>\n \u201cIn his lone season under Spags (Steve Spagnuolo), Jordan recorded single-season best marks of 67 total tackles and three forced fumbles, along with eight tackles for loss, eight sacks, two fumble recoveries, and three passes batted,\u201d wrote Goldman<\/a>. \u201cAt 6-foot-4 and 287 pounds, Jordan fits the mold that Spags is looking for in his defensive ends. He\u2019s a powerful, high-effort player who still boasts elite quickness as he enters his 16th year in the league.\u201d<\/p>\n Jordan played for Spagnuolo in 2012, during his second season with New Orleans after being selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Spagnuolo was New Orleans\u2019 coordinator for one season, during which the team missed the playoffs, finishing 7-9. Jordan has 132 career sacks and currently holds the Saints record after 15 seasons with the franchise.<\/p>\n
