Andy Reid is adding another BYU guy to his operation.<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed former Cougar defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga to a three-year, $21 million deal, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.<\/p>\n

Tonga spent the past season with the New England Patriots, starting in eight regular-season games and helping the team reach the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

In addition to his work at defensive tackle, Tonga also appeared as a blocking fullback for the Patriots in special packages.<\/p>\n

Since being drafted back in 2021<\/a>, Tonga has played for the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals and Patriots, now finding an extended home in Kansas City, where he\u2019ll play for a famous BYU alum in Reid and alongside another former Cougar in offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tonga is the second former BYU player to get a free agent deal on Monday, joining former Cougars star running back Tyler Allgeier<\/a>, who is headed to Arizona.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Andy Reid is adding another BYU guy to his operation.
