Former New York Jets first-round pick Darron Lee consulted ChatGPT about how to \u201ccover up\u201d the murder of his girlfriend, who he allegedly beat and stabbed to death<\/a> last month, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n

Lee, 31, allegedly sent the disturbing messages to the chat bot days before Gabriella Carvalho Perp\u00e9tuo was found by police dead on the floor in a blood-soaked home in Tennessee, prosecutors revealed Monday during a preliminary hearing for the former linebacker, WCTV reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t know what to do right now. Fiancee [sic] did her crazy thing again and now she\u2019s messed up, I wake up and she has two swollen eyes (i didn\u2019t do anything, self inflicted) she stabbed herself, slit her eye? Idk but she isn\u2019t waking up or responding, what do I do?\u201d he asked ChatGPT.<\/p>\n

Former New York Jets player Darron Lee is facing the death penalty for allegedly murdering his girlfriend in Tennessee.<\/p>\n

\u201cGot it,\u201d the bot responded, according to WDEF<\/a>. \u201cHere\u2019s exactly what [redacted] is the safest way to handle it without framing it as \u201cpolice trouble,\u201d<\/p>\n

Lee, who was selected as the 20th overall pick by the Jets in 2016, also asked if someone slipping and falling could cause \u201cpuncture wounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah\u2014- it\u00a0can\u00a0happen**, but there\u2019s [redacted] to make. Can a slip-and-fall cause\u00a0puncture wounds? Yes, but usually only under specific conditions?\u201d ChatGPT replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can help you sanity-check whether it lines up with a slip-and-fall or if it\u2019s something that should be evaluated ASAP,\u201d the AI added.<\/p>\n

District Attorney Coty Wamp told the court that Lee used ChatGPT as a \u201clegal advisor.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has conversations, dozens of conversations, back and forth with ChatGPT over a two-day period about what he did to Gabriella Perpetua in detail,\u201d Wamp said.<\/p>\n

Lee allegedly consulted ChatGPT about how to \u201ccover up\u201d the murder of Gabriella Perpetuo, who he allegedly beat and stabbed to death last month. Gofundme<\/p>\n

\u201cHe asks how to cover it up. He asks what to say to 911.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prosecutors also presented new police body camera footage showing Lee acting confused as he told officers he found Perp\u00e9tuo dead at the house in Ooltewah, outside of Chattanooga.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe wasn\u2019t saying anything and that\u2019s when I called 911 immediately and I was like what is going on\u2026 I was asleep for a long time,\u201d Lee said in the video shown in court.<\/p>\n

Lee allegedly told officers that Perp\u00e9tuo suffered from narcolepsy and must have fallen in the shower.<\/p>\n

Lee was denied bond in Chattanooga after a judge heard disturbing testimony about the death of his girlfriend. Local News 3<\/p>\n

However, police said the scene inside the home showed evidence of a violent struggle and injuries inconsistent with an accidental fall.<\/p>\n

Perp\u00e9tuo was topless when cops found her and died from horrific injuries, officials said \u2014 including severe brain trauma, a broken neck, bruising across her body and even large bite marks on her shoulder and thigh, according to an autopsy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She also had stab wounds to her legs and significant injuries to her face. The medical examiner ruled her cause of death as blunt force trauma.<\/p>\n

Hamilton County Sheriff\u2019s Office Detective Brian Lockhart, who was one of the first at the rental home, previously testified that the house was covered in blood.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was blood going up the staircase, on the hand railing there was blood, on the walls there was blood, on the floor in the living room there was blood, in the floor on the hallway and the stairs,\u201d he continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The microwave was shattered, and booze bottles and broken glass littered the home. Detectives discovered cleaning supplies upstairs, including bleach wipes and a spray bottle.<\/p>\n

Lee, 31, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.<\/p>\n
