The Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> are entering a new league year without four defensive backs from last season, who have Super Bowl-winning experience, with yet another departure late Monday night.<\/p>\n

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero<\/a>, the Tennessee Titans are signing former Chiefs cornerback Joshua Williams to a two-year deal.<\/p>\n

Williams earned significant respect from Chiefs defensive backs coach Dave Merritt for his growth.<\/p>\n

“Josh is one of those young men who works better when you give them more reps in practice, probably 90% of our locker room,” said Merritt during a 2024 press conference<\/a>, “Once you give them more reps and they get more comfortable, they can go out and execute what we’re asking them to do.”<\/p>\n

Williams had a standout moment in the 2022 AFC Championship against the Cincinnati Bengals. He secured a clutch interception on Joe Burrow, which helped the Chiefs preserve the 23\u201320 victory.<\/p>\n
