{"id":804823,"date":"2026-03-10T15:43:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T15:43:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/804823\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T15:43:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T15:43:15","slug":"former-patriots-captain-agrees-to-two-year-deal-with-rams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/804823\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Patriots captain agrees to two-year deal with Rams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>March 10, 2026, 10:01 a.m. ET<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Former <a href=\"http:\/\/Patriotswire.usatoday.com\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New England Patriots<\/a> long snapper Joe Cardona is on his way to Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\"><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mikereiss\/status\/2031138449248444852?s=46\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow\">According to ESPN\u2019s Mike Reiss,<\/a> Cardona has agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Cardona won two Super Bowls with the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/nfl\/teams\/new-england-patriots\/348\" data-autotag=\"04de4087-8f54-4765-a468-9b4c74f7fb14\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Patriots<\/a> in 2017 and 2019. The 33-year-old played 10 seasons for New England from 2015-24. He most recently played for the Miami Dolphins in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The Patriots went with Julian Ashby at long snapper last season. However, Cardona was a long-time member of the franchise that helped New England add to their Super Bowl championship total early in his career.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Cardona now joins the Rams after Los Angeles advanced to the NFC Championship Game last season in a losing effort.
