That works out well for the 49ers, who traded the rest of their Day 3 picks this past season for Bryce Huff, Brian Robinson, and Khalil Davis.

Here’s a look at where the 49ers will be selecting in the draft

After signing Mike Evans, the 49ers put themselves in a position where they don’t need to take a wide receiver in the first round. A potential Trent Williams replacement, pass rusher, or impact player in the secondary makes a lot of sense early.

Day 2:
2nd round – No. 58
3rd round – No. 92

We haven’t discussed prospects yet, but taking advantage of a wide receiver falling in the draft on the second day would be a good plan for the Niners.

A personal favorite of mine is coming off an ACL injury. Chris Bell from Louisville has everything you need to be a WR1. The problem is you don’t know if you’re getting the same athlete post-ACL. I think the 49ers should continue to go with the bigger-bodied wideouts.

Malachi Fields out of Notre Dame would be another good fit at this juncture if he’s available. Other wideouts I could see the Niners being intrigued by are Bryce Lance, Ja’Kobi Lane, Eric McAlister, Kevin Coleman, De’Zhaun Stribling, and Josh Cameron on Day 2.

The third round should be where the Niners look to find the left guard version of Dominick Puni—unless, of course, they sign a veteran this week in free agency.

Day 3
4th round – No. 127
4th round – No. 133 (compensatory)
4th round – No. 138 (compensatory)
4th round – No. 139 (compensatory)

This is not the kind of draft where you want to acquire more picks. If anything, get more picks for the 2027 NFL Draft, which is supposed to be loaded with talent. Don’t be surprised to see the team attempt to package a few of these picks and move up for a player.

The San Francisco 49ers were awarded a trio of compensatory picks on Monday for the 2026 NFL Draft.…

[2080
220,7,6,1161,252,1138,2624,2623
0":"post-804966","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-francisco-49ers","8":"tag-49ers","9":"tag-football","10":"tag-nfl","11":"tag-san-francisco","12":"tag-san-francisco-49ers","13":"tag-san-francisco-49ers-draft","14":"tag-sanfrancisco","15":"tag-sanfrancisco49ers
["GET
