{"id":805365,"date":"2026-03-10T22:27:16","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T22:27:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/805365\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T22:27:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T22:27:16","slug":"ravens-coach-big-winner-of-free-agency-thanks-to-blockbuster-move","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/805365\/","title":{"rendered":"Ravens coach big winner of free agency thanks to blockbuster move"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/uk\/nfl\/baltimore-ravens\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Baltimore Ravens<\/a> were rather quiet as the NFL free agency period opened, but Jesse Minter&#8217;s team was proactive before it began.<\/p>\n<p>The franchise swung for the fences and traded for Maxx Crosby, sending two first-round picks to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/uk\/nfl\/las-vegas-raiders\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> in return.<\/p>\n<p>Seen as a move that signals Baltimore&#8217;s 2026 intent, it offsets the losses of Tyler Linderbaum and Isaiah Likely in free agency.<\/p>\n<p>But despite that,\u00a0NFL.com&#8217;s Jeffri Chadiha has named Minter as a big winner of free agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Baltimore Ravens&#8217; new head coach is supposed to return that team to the postseason and improve a defense that disappointed far too often over the last two seasons,\u201d <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/nfl-free-agency-winners-and-losers-jesse-minter-trent-mcduffie-up-vic-fangio-michael-penix-down\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Chadiha wrote<\/a>. \u201cHe received a huge boost in his pursuit of both those goals when general manager Eric DeCosta executed the blockbuster trade agreement for star edge rusher Maxx Crosby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More:\u00a0<a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/uk\/nfl\/kansas-city-chiefs\/news\/chiefs-lose-super-bowl-champion-nfc-powerhouse\/3aceb9ab66a73d4a4ac11635\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Chiefs lose Super Bowl champion to NFC powerhouse<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ravens all-in on 2026<\/p>\n<p>The move for Crosby helps Minter&#8217;s defense immensely, and now the pressure gauge has been turned up.<\/p>\n<p>We know of the franchise&#8217;s failings in the playoffs, and now with Crosby, at least, defensively, the Ravens are in a great spot.<\/p>\n<p>But offensively, with Lamar Jackson for some, is where the real questions are. And now even more so with Linderbaum and Likely out. So, how good will this offense be in 2026?
