How bout that. Bridgewater lands a new team one day into free agency! (Kyle Trask is still looking for work.)<\/p>\n

Todd Bowles was clear last month<\/a> at the NFL Scouting Combine that he and Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager are looking for a backup QB, so Bridgewater departing is no surprise. His contract terms with the Lions have not yet been reported.<\/p>\n

Bridgewater, 33, looked overwhelmed in his only significant action for the Bucs last season, coming off the bench to relieve Baker Mayfield in a blowout (we-didn\u2019t-show-up) loss at the Los Angeles Rams.<\/p>\n

Are the Bucs waiting to see if veteran QB Andy Dalton gets cut from the Panthers? Carolina signed Kenny Pickett to replace him this week.<\/p>\n

Dalton hitting the street seems inevitable if the Panthers can\u2019t find a trade partner.
