The Detroit Lions<\/a> addressed one of its needs on Tuesday, signing former Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco<\/a>.<\/p>\n Known for an angry, downhill running style, Pacheco should pair well with three-time Pro Bowler Jahmyr Gibbs in the Lions<\/a>‘ backfield.<\/p>\n What does Pacheco’s Lions contract look like, though? Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team<\/a> reported on Tuesday night that Pacheco’s deal is a one-year, fully guaranteed<\/a> $1.8 million deal.<\/p>\n Pacheco just completed his four-year, $3.7 million rookie contract with the Chiefs<\/a>. The 5-foot-10, 216-pound running back was originally drafted in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL draft out of Rutgers.<\/p>\n Expert NFL picks: Exclusive betting insights only at USA TODAY.<\/a><\/p>\n A 27-year-old, Pacheco has run for 2,537 yards and 14 touchdowns in 51 career NFL regular-season games and an additional 547 rushing yards and four touchdowns in 10 career playoff games.<\/p>\n Pacheco’s production diminished the past two seasons as he dealt with injuries. In 2024, Pacheco was limited to just seven games played, 310 rushing yards and one touchdown because of a fractured fibula.
