The reported plan was for Rams backup quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/rams\/onsi\/los-angeles-put-themselves-iposition-retain-jimmy-garoppolo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jimmy Garoppolo<\/a> to replace Murray due to Garoppolo\u2019s knowledge of LaFleur\u2019s offense, his relationship with LaFleur, his ability to get the ball out of his hands quickly, and his proven track record of being a winner when properly supplied.\u201c<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cThe NFL draft is about getting the players for your future, as well as getting players that you believe could help you win now, if they are your picks from the top of the draft. It comes down to doing your homework and knowing what players you need to fill in the holes you have on either or both sides of the ball.
