The Philadelphia Eagles are likely going to lose a handful of good players in free agency this offseason to other teams around the NFL. However, one of the silver linings is that they will receive a maximum of four compensatory picks in the 2027 NFL Draft for the players they lose, minus the players they gain. <\/p>\n
Here we’ll track each signing (both lost and gained), and whether or not each player will count toward the compensatory pick formula<\/a>. He should qualify for a third-round compensatory pick.<\/p>\n \u2022 WR Jahan Dotson: Dotson is going to the Falcons on a two-year, $15 million deal. We\u2019ll project that he will net the Eagles a sixth-round comp pick.<\/p>\n \u2022 LB Nakobe Dean: Dean has a three-year, $36 million agreement with the Raiders, per his agent. We\u2019ll project that the Eagles will net a fifth-round comp pick for Dean’s departure.<\/p>\n \u2022 S Reed Blankenship: Blankenship agreed to terms on a three-year deal worth 24.75 with the Texans. He should count for a sixth-round pick in the comp pick formula.<\/p>\n \u2022 iOL Brett Toth: Toth is signing with the 49ers. It is unlikely that he will make enough money to count toward the comp pick formula.<\/p>\n \u2022 QB Sam Howell: Howell is signing with the Cowboys.\u00a0It is unlikely that he will make enough money to count toward the comp pick formula.<\/p>\n \u2022 EDGE Josh Uche: Uche reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Dolphins.\u00a0It is unlikely that he will make enough money to count toward the comp pick formula.<\/p>\n Players gained<\/p>\n \u2022 CB Riq Woolen: Woolen reportedly agreed to a one-year deal worth “up to” $15 million. It’s unlikely that his contract is actually worth that much, but for the sake of the tracker we’ll include him at $15 million until more accurate numbers are made available.<\/p>\n Update: It’s a base value of $12 million, per OverTheCap<\/a>.
