If Robert Saleh keeps it up, the Titans may need to be renamed the Jets.<\/p>\n

The Titans added another ex-Jet on Wednesday when they traded with the Cowboys for defensive lineman Solomon Thomas, per reports. <\/p>\n

The deal also includes a seventh-round pick going to the Titans and the Cowboys getting a seventh-round pick back in return, ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The list of former Jets who have joined Tennessee this offseason is now up to three after the team brought in Jermaine Johnson II in a trade<\/a> with Gang Green and signed John Franklin-Myers<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All three players played in the Big Apple under Saleh during his tenure as Jets head coach.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thomas appeared in 16 games for the Cowboys in 2025 and recorded 27 tackles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before that, he spent three seasons with the Jets from 2022-24, which included Saleh\u2019s second season at the helm through the end of his stint when he was fired in the middle of the 2024 campaign<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thomas also crossed over with Saleh while they were both in San Francisco before that.<\/p>\n

In all, there are five former Jets players or coaches now in Music City with Saleh, who is getting his second go-round as a head coach after a bumpy run at the Meadowlands.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton and assistant defensive line coach Tanzel Smart also worked with Saleh in New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Saleh spent the 2025 season as the 49ers\u2019 defensive coordinator, the same role he had held from 2017-2020, and was named head coach of the Titans in January.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One big change Saleh plans on making is he intends to call defensive plays, something he didn\u2019t do while he was with the Jets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t call plays in New York and I just kind of gave it all to the coordinators,\u201d Saleh told reporters during his introductory press conference. \u201cEven though we were still part of the game planning and all that, I joked on game day when I didn\u2019t call plays, I felt like I was just the timeout and red flag guy. I had the greatest seat in the house as a fan.<\/p>\n

\u201cCalling plays for me, it\u2019s not necessarily about control. It\u2019s about connecting with the players. When you are a play caller and you are calling plays, you feel the strain that you\u2019re putting on them with each call.
