Doing so allows the Dolphins to spread out his $23.8 million in dead cap over the next two seasons, while also saving Miami $20.3 million in cap space once June 2nd rolls around. The cut allows Chubb to sign with a team in the interim.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">It turns out, the interim didn\u2019t last very long.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Shortly after the Dolphins made the Chubb move official, he made the move north \u2014 signing with the Buffalo Bills on a 3-year deal worth $43.5 million. He joins Minkah Fitzpatrick as high profile Dolphins defenders who will join an AFC East division rival this offseason after Miami traded the safety to the New York Jets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Chubb spent four seasons in Miami after team sent a first-round pick to the Denver Broncos to acquire his services in 2022. During his time with the Dolphins, Chubb played in 41 games, totaling 133 tackles (74 solo), 22.0 sacks, two passes defensed, nine forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
