But it doesn’t sound like Carter is going anywhere this offseason. If anything, it’s probably more likely that the 2023 first-round pick gets a contract extension, making him one of the highest-paid defensive tackles in the NFL.

Vic Fangio says Jihaad Campbell will “miss probably most of the offseason” with a shoulder injury – BGN
With the Eagles unsurprisingly losing Nakobe Dean in free agency, Campbell is slated to take his place in the starting lineup moving forward. It would be ideal for Campbell, who just turned 22 years old last month, to have a full offseason to help prepare him to be a full-time starter. But apparently that won’t be the case.

Eagles notes: Dallas Goedert’s contract, Jihaad Campbell’s injury, and the Jaire Alexander trade – PhillyVoice
There might be some contention about the Jaire Alexander trade. At the trade deadline last season, the Eagles dealt for Ravens CB Jaire Alexander, who then retired 10 days later. The Eagles didn’t give up much. They traded a 2026 sixth-round pick for Alexander and 2027 seventh-round pick. But they also got absolutely nothing out of him. In December, a reader alerted me to the absence of that trade on the transaction page on the Eagles’ website. Interestingly, it didn’t appear there, but it did appear on the transaction pages on the Ravens’ site and the NFL’s site. The team declined to comment after multiple inquiries about the discrepancy on the transaction pages and whether the trade was valid. I imagine that if there weren’t some kind of contention about the trade, the Eagles would’ve just said that the trade was final. Back in 2017, the Eagles traded LS Jon Dorenbos to the Saints for a seventh-round pick. Ten days later, Dorenbos was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm, which required immediate heart surgery. The Saints released him, and the Eagles returned the draft pick to the Saints. It does feel like the Eagles expect that trade to be rescinded, and in my opinion they have an argument, if so. Of course, we only bring this up now because of the Ravens’ decision to back out of their trade with the Raiders for Maxx Crosby, and the accusations thereafter that they may have been acting in bad faith.

5 thoughts on Eagles’ addition of Riq Woolen in free agency – NBCSP
Not without some risk. The upside with this signing is obvious and Woolen will undoubtedly be an upgrade over Jackson in 2026. But there are reasons a talented 26-year-old physical freak of a cornerback was available on a one-year deal. During the 2025 season, Woolen started just seven games and was not a starter in the playoffs. He rotated with former Eagle Josh Jobe, whom the Seahawks brought back in free agency over Woolen. Woolen is also known for penalties. In fact, according to The Athletic, he has been penalized 30 times since entering the league in 2022. That is the most among all defensive backs in the league during that span. And one of Woolen’s worst moments played out on national television in January during the NFC Championship Game. He nearly cost his team a trip to the Super Bowl. After defending an incomplete pass to Puka Nacua on 3rd-and-12 late in the fourth quarter, Woolen couldn’t control his emotions and taunted Nacua and anyone else he could find on the Rams’ sideline before eventually being flagged. On the very next play, he gave up a 34-yard touchdown pass to Nacua that pulled the Rams within four points. Luckily for Woolen, the Seahawks were able to hold on and advance.

Spadaro: Jordan Davis’ extension is a product of his desire to be great – PE.com
Congratulations to Jordan Davis, an example who is relatable to everyone and a story that is a win for himself, the team, the fans, every person who has a goal and who is willing to work to reach that goal, even if it takes some time to get there. “When I first got here, I was talking with Brandon Graham and I remember he said to me, ‘You come in here and you work hard and you show that you care and work to improve, this city will love you,” Davis said on Wednesday at his press conference from the Jefferson Health Center auditorium. “That is something that stuck with me, that resonated with me. ”I wanted to create a legacy. This pick aligns both with Roseman’s draft strategy and the new direction of the Eagles’ offense. If the Eagles were drafting purely based on needs, I’d be writing about Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor here instead. But it would be a market anomaly if Sadiq falls to the Eagles. The Athletic’s Dane Brugler noted that NFL teams believe Sadiq has the talent to be a top-10 pick. Last season, the Eagles similarly scooped up linebacker Jihaad Campbell (a top-10 player on the Eagles’ draft board) when he fell within range. This pick is all the more possible after the Minnesota Vikings (at No. 18) restructured T.J. Hockenson’s contract on Monday. The Eagles still need an all-around tight end for their system change under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. They secured a supporting cast in free agency by reaching one-year deals with Johnny Mundt (the blocking specialist they were missing in 2025) and Grant Calcaterra (who could be a better fit in a pass-catching role). The Eagles were interested in bringing back eight-year veteran Dallas Goedert, who last year set the team record for single-season touchdown catches by a tight end (11). A possible deal is still up in the air. But the Eagles have been working around Goedert’s pricey cap hit for the last two years. It would serve them well to start over with a potential star on a rookie deal.

Falcons free agency 2026: Atlanta signing EDGE Azeez Ojulari – The Falcoholic
The Atlanta Falcons were reportedly interested in Azeez Ojulari at the trade deadline back in 2024, but he did not not join the team in 2025. Ojulari was coming off a six sack season with the Giants when the Eagles signed him last year to a one year, $4 million pact; unfortunately the young defender appeared in just three games before a hamstring injury cost him the rest of the season. Presumably fully healthy now, Ojulari will take another shot at building up his value by joining a team that badly needed capable edge defenders.

Dolphins sign Josh Uche in 2026 free agency – The Phinsider
In his six-year career, Uche has appeared in 76 games, starting four times.
