The New York Giants<\/a> have secured the services of right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor on a three-year contract worth $39 million, including $26 million guaranteed.<\/p>\n

The deal, agreed to earlier this week, was officially signed by Eluemunor on Thursday at the team’s facility in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The 31-year-old veteran, who joined the Giants in 2024 on a two-year, $14 million contract, proved to be a dependable starter over the past two seasons.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Eluemunor appeared in all 16 games, logging more than 1,000 snaps while allowing just 19 pressures and four sacks, ranking 20th among 89 tackles in pass-blocking efficiency, per Pro Football Focus.<\/p>\n

The Giants fended off interest from the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns, who pursued Eluemunor aggressively\u2014the Browns even viewed him as a potential starting left tackle. Despite the competition, he chose to remain in New York, describing the deal as modest but exactly where he wanted to be.<\/p>\n

Eluemunor has started all 31 games played for the Giants since arriving, providing valuable continuity to the offensive line.<\/p>\n

Upon arriving to sign the contract, Eluemunor made a statement by wearing a custom-made suit. During a Zoom call with beat writers, he explained the significance of the choice.<\/p>\n

“It means a lot. It’s something I’ve been working towards my entire career, and I just wanted to show them that it’s, this isn’t just another day for me, it’s a combination of all the days I put in, all the hard work I put in,” he said. “I truly just wanted to show just how important this is. And I feel like you put on suits for important events, and this truly is an important event, and I just wanted to show whoever, like the fans, the coaches, anyone in the building, just how much this meant to me and how much I truly appreciate this.<\/p>\n

“I feel like you have to dress for the occasion. Not everyone may do it, but for me, I truly think that it was appropriate for this situation and the day. And it’s a huge day for me and my family and I wanted to show that through the suit.”<\/p>\n

Eluemunor reflected on his journey.<\/p>\n

“I’ve been open about my story where I’ve been cut, traded, put on the p-squad, cut, benched, and I’ve been through all these different things that not a lot of players get to this position I’m in right now,” he said.<\/p>\n

Eluemunor added that he had the suit tailored in New Jersey by a specialist who works with NFL players, arranging it before free agency while vacationing in St. Lucia.<\/p>\n

“I hit up my tailor and I said, \u2018Hey, God willing, I’m going to sign the biggest contract of my life, and I want a suit that matches the occasion,'” he said.<\/p>\n

Eluemunor emphasized gratitude for the opportunity, noting the moment’s importance to him and his family, who were right there with him on the inside of his custom suit.<\/p>\n

“I’m really grateful for it,” he said.<\/p>\n

Eluemunor made a statement with his play in 2025, and he made another statement on Thursday. He truly embraces everything it means to be a Giant.<\/p>\n
