The Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday agreed to terms with running back Keaton Mitchell.<\/p>\n
Here are five things to know about Mitchell:<\/p>\n
Mitchell is joining the Chargers coming off a bounce back season in his young career.<\/p>\n
After not playing in the early part of the 2025 season, the 24-year-old played in the final 13 games and totaled 400-plus yards from scrimmage.<\/p>\n
He finished with 341 rushing yards on 59 attempts, good for 5.8 yards per carry.<\/p>\n
That average was first among running backs with at least 50 carries last season, as he continuously showed off his explosiveness in the Baltimore backfield.<\/p>\n
Overall, Mitchell tallied 11 runs that went for 10-plus yards, according to Pro Football Focus.<\/p>\n
Mitchell broke onto the scene in a big way as a rookie undrafted free agent in 2023.<\/p>\n
Despite starting the season on Injured Reserve, Mitchell starred in the eight games he played with Baltimore that season.<\/p>\n
Mitchell ran for two touchdowns and 396 yards on 49 carries, a whopping 8.4 yards per carry that led the NFL that year.<\/p>\n
And in just his third career game, he ran for 138 yards, the highest single-game total by an undrafted rookie in Ravens history.<\/p>\n
