It is more than a challenge as the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/\" title=\"NFL\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"191153\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFL<\/a> free agent market is quickly drying up. <\/p>\n<p>Seattle signed former <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/green-bay-packers\/\" title=\"Green Bay Packers\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"191151\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Green Bay Packers<\/a> veteran <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/emanuel-wilson\/\" title=\"Emanuel Wilson\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"191159\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Emanuel Wilson<\/a>. It remains to be seen just how much of a role Wilson can carve out within the Seahawks offense. <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/new-orleans-saints\/\" title=\"New Orleans Saints\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"191150\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New Orleans Saints<\/a> running back Alvin Kamara has been the subject of NFL trade rumors. The Saints just signed <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/travis-etienne\/\" title=\"Travis Etienne\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"191161\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Travis Etienne<\/a> to a lucrative new $52 million deal, prompting questions about Kamara\u2019s future with the franchise. <\/p>\n<p>It just so happens the Seahawks are still in the market for a veteran running back. Let\u2019s examine Kamara\u2019s fit with the Seahawks as a potential trade target. <\/p>\n<p>Seahawks Rumors: Saints RB Alvin Kamara Is Being Floated as a Potential NFL Trade Candidate<\/p>\n<p>Seattle may be able to pry Kamara away from New Orleans for a low price. <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.mynorthwest.com\/nfl\/seattle-seahawks\/seattle-seahawks-could-alvin-kamara-trade-answer-rb\/1842214\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Seattle Sports\u2019 Stacy Rost<\/a> makes the case for the Seahawks striking a trade for Kamara. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut Seattle doesn\u2019t necessarily need the best version of Kamara,\u201d Rost detailed in a March 13, 2026, story titled, \u201cStacy: Could an Alvin Kamara trade be Seahawks\u2019 answer at RB?\u201d \u201cThey just need another dynamic weapon, and Kamara would give them that (it\u2019s a possible trade former Seahawks receiver Bryan Walters has mentioned in interviews with Bump and Stacy). <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019d love to have prime Kamara, of course, but Seattle could also use veteran depth out of the backfield and as a pass catcher. And this version wouldn\u2019t command too much in return, with an SI mock having the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/denver-broncos\/\" title=\"Broncos\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"191152\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Broncos<\/a> sending a fifth-round pick to get him in a trade,\u201d Rost added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t just offseason rambling \u2014 there\u2019s a real question about Kamara\u2019s future in New Orleans, and according to ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter it\u2019s a situation other teams are monitoring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Possible Seahawks\u2019 Seahawks Trade Target Alvin Kamara Is on a $24 Million Contract<\/p>\n<p>Kamara is heading into the final season of a two-year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spotrac.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/21809\/alvin-kamara\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">$24.5 million contract.<\/a> The running back has a projected $10.5 million cap hit in 2026, per Spotrac. <\/p>\n<p>Last season, Kamara posted 131 carries for 471 rushing yards and one touchdown. Kamara added 33 receptions for 186 yards during 11 starts in 2025. <\/p>\n<p>NFL Rumors: Teams Are Monitoring a Trade With the Saints for Alvin Kamara<\/p>\n<p>ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter reported that teams are monitoring Kamara\u2019s status as a potential trade target. The Seahawks have <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/zach-charbonnet\/\" title=\"Zach Charbonnet\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"191160\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zach Charbonnet<\/a>, but the running back is recovering from a season-ending ACL injury. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the Saints reaching agreement today with RB Travis Etienne, there now are questions around the league about whether RB Alvin Kamara will be moving on from New Orleans and whether the Saints would be willing trade him,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/2031171153952141782?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Schefter detailed<\/a> in a March 9, message on X. \u201cTeams are tracking and wondering about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Whether it is a trade for Kamara or signing a veteran, the Seahawks would be wise to make another move to have insurance behind Charbonnet.
