The Miami Dolphins needed edge rushers, and they are bringing in more edge rushers.<\/p>\n
The Dolphins agreed to contract terms with former Baltimore Ravens edge defender David Ojabo, according to a league source Friday evening.<\/p>\n
Ojabo, who turns 26 on May 17 is primarily a stand-up outside linebacker, listed at 6 feet 4, 252 pounds.<\/p>\n
The Ravens selected him in the second round of the 2022 draft out of Michigan despite his infamous torn Achilles at his pro day before the draft. He came back by the end of that rookie season to play the final two games of the regular season and record his first NFL sack in a Week 18 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.<\/p>\n
The injury bug struck Ojabo again early in 2023. He suffered a torn ACL in a knee three weeks into his second season. He made his lone career start in the game in which he got hurt against the Indianapolis Colts.<\/p>\n
Ojabo has mostly been healthy the past two seasons, but he hasn\u2019t returned to starting status with the Ravens or the player who once was projected as a potential first-round selection. He had two sacks in 2024 and has 4 \u00bd for his career.<\/p>\n
Ojabo has played 471 defensive snaps for Baltimore over the past two seasons. Last year, he made a career-high 16 tackles.<\/p>\n
In college at Michigan, Ojabo notched a whopping 11 sacks in the 2021 season to make him a coveted player in the 2022 draft class.<\/p>\n
At edge rusher, the Dolphins already signed Josh Uche<\/a>, a former Miami Columbus High standout who also played college football with the Wolverines.<\/p>\n
