The Carolina Panthers reached an agreement with former Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Rasheed Walker<\/a>, per ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter<\/a>. Walker played for the Packers from 2022-25.<\/p>\n

In total, Walker recorded 52 appearances and 48 starts for the Packers. The organization selected him with the No. 249 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.<\/a><\/p>\n

Walker posted a a pass block win rate of 93.8% this past season, ranking 11th among all offensive tackles. However, Walker struggled to protect quarterback Jordan Love<\/a> in the Packers\u2019 loss to the Chicago Bears in the NFL<\/a> Playoffs.<\/p>\n

In January, Walker was arrested at LaGuardia Airport in New York after he tried to check in a bag that contained a firearm. The 26-year-old was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm,\u00a0according to the New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Walker\u2019s attorney, Arthur Aidala, said the gun was legally licensed in Wisconsin and Walker didn\u2019t know he couldn\u2019t travel with it in New York. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 19.<\/p>\n

Rasheed Walker\u2019s deal with the Panthers is reportedly for one year. The former Penn State<\/a> standout will join a Panthers offensive line that only allowed 30 sacks last season, tied for the third-least in the NFL.<\/p>\n

The Panthers\u2019 impressive offensive line player was only piece of a much-improved team. After posting a 5-12 record in 2024, the Panthers went 8-9 last season, and nearly defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Head coach Dave Canales is entering his third season at the helm of the Panthers. He\u2019s hungry to lead the organization to even greater heights.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve operated really well being the underdog,\u201d Canales said<\/a> in January. \u201cI had a friend tell me, we\u2019re just that team, you get it out the mud. The guys having that kind of chip on their shoulder to work for everything. Everything is earned. I love this mentality. How do we keep that intact? What are we pursuing?<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re trying to find our best, trying to find the best football we can play, and that was the 2025 Panthers. As we go forward in 2026 it will be the same pursuit. I think that works. It\u2019s a timeless approach. Can we find our best?
