A.J. Brown will remain an Eagle \u2014 for now.<\/p>\n

After trade talks heated up this week, Philadelphia won\u2019t deal Brown \u201cat this time,\u201d according to The Athletic\u2019s Dianna Russini.<\/p>\n

The Eagles had \u201cserious conversations with both the Rams and Patriots,\u201d around the star wide receiver, Russini said, but \u201cno move is imminent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Talks involving the wide receiver are expected to pick up as summer approaches.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf a trade were to happen, it would likely heat up closer to June 1,\u201d Russini wrote on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last month, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the Eagles were looking for a first- and second-round pick<\/a> in return for Brown, who is currently in the midst of the three-year, $92 million extension he signed two offseasons ago.<\/p>\n

Despite rumors dating back to last season\u2019s trade deadline and constant concerns about Brown\u2019s happiness in Philadelphia, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman tried to shut down any rumors of parting ways with the pass catcher in February.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really hard to find great players,\u201d Roseman said. \u201cI think A.J. is a great player. I think that, from my perspective, we\u2019re looking to improve in all areas, and you don\u2019t do that by subtracting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Head coach Nick Sirianni, however, didn\u2019t seem so convinced<\/a> that Brown would be back next season.<\/p>\n

\u201cWill A.J. be here next season? I think we\u2019re still in a spot, like, I can\u2019t guarantee how anything is going to play out into next season,\u201d Sirainni said before the NFL Combine in February. \u201cI\u2019m thinking I\u2019m going to be the coach next season, but you can\u2019t guarantee anything past tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown, a second-round pick by the Titans in 2019, has had four straight 1,000 receiving seasons since joining the Eagles before the 2022 season.<\/p>\n
