The Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> are retaining depth on the offensive line intact ahead of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

According to a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Chiefs have agreed to terms on re-signing offensive lineman Mike Caliendo to a one-year deal. The deal was confirmed by his agent, Nate Richman of 3XL Sports Management<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid praised the progress and improvement of Caliendo last offseason and his impact on the offensive line.<\/p>\n

“He’s (Mike Caliendo) had a great one. (He’s) a great kid \u2013 very, very smart. (He’s) a hard worker, (and) he’s gotten better every year,” said head coach Andy Reid during his 2025 minicamp press conference<\/a>, “For him to step in and do what he did this past year, he knows he can play at this level.”<\/p>\n

The former Western Michigan Bronco suited up for all 17 of the Kansas City’s regular-season games. Caliendo began his professional career with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and was a member of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVII and LVIII rosters.<\/p>\n

Caliendo has played more than 700 snaps for the Chiefs’ offense over the past few seasons, including Super Bowl LVIII. Kansas City’s trust in the veteran has made him a valuable option on the offensive line in relief.<\/p>\n
