He was named MVP in 2012 and amassed nearly 15,000 yards during his career.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">It appears his son and namesake, Adrian Jr, has inherited his quick feet. Earlier this week, the 14-year-old &#8211; who is already 6ft 1ins and 170lbs &#8211;\u00a0posted footage from a recent track meet on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;In finals today I was able to break the School record in the 100 [meters] with a 10.7 [seconds] and also break the school record in the 200 with a 22.07,&#8217; the teenager wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;Me and my 4&#215;1 [100m relay] team also broke the district record with a 43.82 came home with all gold!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">In a series of clips, Peterson &#8211; a three-sport star at Baines Middle School in Texas &#8211; could be seen streaking clear of his rivals on the track.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" id=\"i-2dbe6cf83faf17ef\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/107140815-15646983-image-m-11_1773533193580.jpg\" height=\"576\" width=\"306\" alt=\"Adrian Peterson Jr\" class=\"blkBorder img-share\" style=\"max-width:100%\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>    <img decoding=\"async\" id=\"i-5aca6d52bc684c9d\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/107141229-15646983-image-a-12_1773533204124.jpg\" height=\"576\" width=\"306\" alt=\"Adrian Peterson\" class=\"blkBorder img-share\" style=\"max-width:100%\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>  <\/p>\n<p class=\"imageCaption\">The teenage son of NFL legend Adrian Peterson showed off his stunning ability on the track<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The post drew a hilarious response from his NFL legend father, who commented: &#8216;Dang\u2026 I&#8217;m not claiming it yet, but I&#8217;m not sure I&#8217;d win if we raced right now haha.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Peterson Jr is also a baseball and football star in the class of 2030. The 14-year-old plays as a running back &#8211; just like his father &#8211; and a wide receiver.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">In baseball, Peterson Jr is a pitcher and outfielder. He is an All-American athlete who has also competed in the AAU Junior Olympics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Earlier this month, meanwhile, his dad &#8211; who spent most of his career with the Minnesota Vikings &#8211; avoided prison after pleading guilty to drink driving.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The 40-year-old admitted a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree DWI.
