He spent last year with the Commanders and threw 54 passes in five games.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Clearly, the Bengals front office saw the value of having a veteran QB on the roster to back up Joe Burrow.
