The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with former Washington Commanders cornerback Noah Igbinoghene, The Athletic\u2019s Michael-Shawn Dugar reported Saturday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Igbinoghene, 26, was a first-round pick (No. 30 overall) by the Miami Dolphins in 2020. After spending his first three pro seasons in Miami, he joined the Dallas Cowboys in 2023 before spending the past two seasons with Washington.<\/p>\n

Igbinoghene played in 15 games and made two starts for the Commanders last season. He had 35 tackles, five passes defended and one sack. The 5-foot-11, 197-pound defensive back started a career-high 10 games for Washington 2024 and had 55 tackles, seven passes defended and one tackle for loss across 17 total appearances.<\/p>\n

An Auburn product, Igbinoghene played mostly as a nickel corner for the Commanders with 932 of his 1,343 snaps over two seasons coming lined up in slot, according to Pro Football Focus. He ranked 112th among cornerbacks with a 49.3 PFF grade in 2024 and 83rd with a 55.6 grade in 2025.<\/p>\n

In 69 career games (17 starts) over six pro seasons, Igbinohene has 119 tackles, 17 passes defended, two tackles for loss, one interception and one sack.<\/p>\n

Igbinoghene is set to join a Seahawks cornerback group led by All-Pro Devon Witherspoon and recently re-signed starter Josh Jobe but that lacks a clear No. 3 option after Riq Woolen signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency. Seattle also reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles on Saturday.<\/p>\n
