The Seattle Seahawks will have a new-look backfield in 2026 after losing Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker to the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>. John Schneider\u2019s first move was to sign Emanuel Wilson from the Green Bay Packers on a one-year deal<\/a>. Wilson has served as a backup to Aaron Jones and Josh Jacobs, and while it\u2019s unclear what his role will be in Seattle, he\u2019s not taken too long to endear himself to the fanbase.<\/p>\n

Shortly after signing with Seattle, Wilson revealed that the Seahawks were his favorite team growing up in North Carolina.<\/p>\n

Speaking with Seahawks.com<\/a>, Wilson added, \u201cI was shocked that my agent called me and told me that Seattle was going to offer me a contract. So blessed to be here.\u201d He also said that he\u2019s a \u201cdownhill physical runner and I have a lot of explosiveness in me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Evidently, Wilson\u2019s favorite running backs were Shaun Alexander and Marshawn Lynch. Seattle\u2019s got an illustrious history at the running back position, and we can only hope that Wilson plays a part in continuing that tradition.<\/p>\n
