Both players met with other NFL teams on Monday, according to the NFL transaction wire.<\/p>\n<p>The Detroit Lions hosted Bartch, while the Los Angeles Chargers met with Burford. While it&#8217;s unclear how strongly the 49ers are pursuing either player for 2026, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7092003\/2026\/03\/06\/49ers-free-agency-needs-nfl\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matt Barrows of The Athletic reported<\/a> there is mutual interest in Bartch returning to San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the 49ers appear content with allowing Bartch to test the free-agent market. Bartch and Burford both started at left guard for San Francisco last season. Bartch started the first two games while Burford made 11 starts, including the team&#8217;s two playoff games.<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers have already added to their offensive line in free agency, signing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LoweVe00.htm\" data-playername=\"Vederian Lowe\" title=\"Vederian Lowe stats\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Vederian Lowe<\/a> to a two-year deal and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/TothBr00.htm\" data-playername=\"Brett Toth\" title=\"Brett Toth stats\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Brett Toth<\/a> to a one-year contract.<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, San Francisco is widely expected to address the offensive line in the 2026 NFL Draft.
