The Seattle Seahawks<\/a> are looking to reshape their roster in the wake of a strong Super Bowl tax. Kenneth Walker, Coby Bryant, Boye Mafe, and Riq Woolen are all gone.<\/p>\n

Losing such key players in free agency is a tough blow, but the Seahawks have been making moves to counter those losses. Rashid Shaheed is back, running back Emmanuel Wilson was signed, and now a cornerback has been added to help replace Woolen.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter,<\/a> the Seahawks are signing former Washington Commanders<\/a>, Dallas Cowboys<\/a>, and Miami Dolphins<\/a> first-round bust cornerback Noah Igbinoghene to a free agent contract.<\/p>\n

Seahawks to sign Noah Igbinoghene to help replace Riq Woolen<\/p>\n

“Seahawks signed former Washington Commanders cornerback Noah Igbinoghene,” Schefter reported.<\/p>\n

Igbinoghene is a 26-year-old cornerback who’s been in the NFL since being selected 30th overall by the Dolphins in the 2020 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

He’s started 17 games in his six-years in the league, with 12 coming with the Commanders over the last two seasons. He also made two playoff starts for Washington in 2024.<\/p>\n

So far in his NFL career,\u00a0Igbinoghene has one interception, back in 2022 with the Dolphins, and 17 passes defended.<\/p>\n

He also has one sack and two fumble recoveries to go with 119 total tackles, two tackles for loss, and two quarterback hits.<\/p>\n

In pass coverage,\u00a0Igbinoghene has allowed a passer rating of 96.3 in his NFL career. However, he’s been a good bit better lately.<\/p>\n

This past season, he allowed a 90.2 passer rating, and in 2024, he allowed an 86.4 passer rating. With the Dolphins, his passer rating allowed was 113.1, while with the Commanders, his most recent team, he allowed a 87.5 passer rating.<\/p>\n

Igbinoghene is a cheap option to add depth to the cornerback room. While he might not be a direct replacement for Woolen, especially since Josh Jobe re-signed for three years,\u00a0Igbinoghene could be a quality depth option in the best defense he’s ever played for.<\/p>\n
