THE Kansas City Chiefs could have a very different looking offense in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.<\/p>\n

Thanks to some new signings and one major injury, the Chiefs<\/a> have a lineup that is changed from last year.<\/p>\n

Currently, Patrick Mahomes<\/a> is recovering from a torn ACL he suffered at the end of the 2025 NFL<\/a> season.<\/p>\n

To make sure they are covered in case he isn\u2019t ready for Week 1, the Chiefs traded for Justin Fields<\/a> from the New York Jets.<\/p>\n

Fields only played nine games last season, but passed for seven touchdowns with just one interception.<\/p>\n

He has five years of NFL experience that should be valuable for the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

Fields will take over from Mahomes if needed, but will primarily serve as the team\u2019s backup quarterback.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs also made a splash in free agency by signing running back Kenneth Walker.<\/p>\n

Walker was the Super Bowl<\/a> MVP this season will now be the lead back for the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

He rushed for 1,027 yards with five touchdowns last season.<\/p>\n

Alongside those two new faces is the same crew from last year.<\/p>\n

Rashee Rice<\/a>, Xavier Worthy<\/a>, and Travis Kelce<\/a> are all returning to the Chiefs for another run at the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

Deep threat Tyquan Thornton is also back with the team on a two-year deal.<\/p>\n
