Maxx Crosby detailed what went down through his eyes as he went from on the verge of being a Raven to being all-in on being a member of the Raiders<\/a> after the chaotic turn of events that saw Baltimore back out of a deal to acquire the star edge rusher.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The blockbuster deal that was supposed to send Crosby to the Ravens<\/a> and the ensuing fallout after the trade fell apart made waves last week, and on the first episode of \u201cThe Rush with Maxx Crosby,\u201d he addressed from his vantage point how it all happened.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve gone through some s\u2013t in my life, I can\u2019t lie, but that whole situation was probably one of the most unique, crazy, wild, up-and-down roller coasters I\u2019ve ever been a part of,\u201d he said on the show released Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Crosby, 28, flew into Washington, D.C. last Monday before driving another two hours to Baltimore from there and then reported to the Ravens facility on March 10 for his physical.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The five-time Pro Bowler underwent surgery in January to repair a torn meniscus<\/a> in his right knee, but it wasn\u2019t expected to impact his 2026 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Crosby did not meet with Ravens head coach Jesse Minter until his physical was completed, and he never met with general manager Eric DeCosta, adding that he even had asked, \u201cWhere\u2019s Eric?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what I mean? He just made the trade. I didn\u2019t see him for five hours,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The odd feeling continued for Crosby when he finally met with Minter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Crosby said \u201cthe energy was off,\u201d and when he dapped up Minter, the Ravens coach \u201chad a blank face.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018OK.\u2019 I\u2019m not thinking anything of it. Maybe he\u2019s just different. I don\u2019t know him, whatever,\u201d Crosby said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when, Crosby said, the Ravens broke the news that one of the team\u2019s doctors had \u201cconcerns\u201d about the results of his physical and \u201csome of them are concerned about the future.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was told that the team would get more opinions and get back to him with their decision, which terrified the football star.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Crosby went back to his hotel and got on the phone with agent CJ Laboy<\/a> and surgeon Neal ElAttrache, who had performed the surgery.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c[ElAttrache] calmed me way down. He\u2019s like Maxx, don\u2019t listen to any of that s\u2013t,\u201d Crosby said. \u201cHe\u2019s like, \u2018Your knee is great. You\u2019re exactly where you\u2019re supposed to be or even ahead of schedule.\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018You\u2019re doing everything right. They know you had your surgery nine weeks ago.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s showing me the actual literal literature of, like, \u2018This is where the knee is supposed to be at from a meniscus repair. MRIs could be misleading because it\u2019s still fresh in surgery and this and that.\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018Listen, you\u2019re doing everything right. Everything\u2019s going well. We\u2019re going to keep sticking to the plan.\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018You will be back by training camp.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Crosby said that while he was waiting for the Ravens to make a decision, he received a call from a team employee who had told him that Vegas and Baltimore were trying to work out the deal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Minutes after that, Laboy called Crosby to let him know the Ravens had backed out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m frozen. I\u2019m like, \u2018What the f\u2013k,\u201d Crosby said. \u201cI\u2019m f\u2013king livid, confused, the whole nine all in one. And so I told [LaBoy], \u2018I\u2019m trying to get out of here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Crosby flew back to Vegas that night and in the wake of the chaos, came to a realization.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The whole ordeal has reaffirmed his commitment to the Raiders.<\/p>\n

And that was abundantly clear on Tuesday\u2019s podcast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t supposed to be in Baltimore and that\u2019s it. You know what I mean? I\u2019m meant to be a Raider. It\u2019s through my damn core. That\u2019s it,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m in this s\u2013t for life. Until that changes \u2014 which I don\u2019t foresee. Honestly, you never know in this damn league. I found that out for sure.
