The Indianapolis Colts<\/a> signed free agent safety Juanyeh Thomas, and Spotrac<\/a> has those contract details.<\/p>\n

Thomas signed a one-year contract to join the Colts<\/a> worth $1.33 million — or around the league minimum. This deal included a $187,500 signing bonus and $437,500 guaranteed.<\/p>\n

Given the current construction of the Colts’ safety depth chart, Thomas will have the opportunity to compete for the starting role next to Cam Bynum.<\/p>\n

He joins the Colts with the bulk of his playing time in Dallas coming on special teams, although Thomas did appear poised to take on a larger role defensively prior to migraines<\/a> ending his season.<\/p>\n

Over 156 coverage snaps in 2025, Thomas was targeted only three times and held opponents to a modes 9.0 yards per catch. He’s also generated four career pass breakups on only 21 targets, per PFF<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This signing may or may not be the answer at safety for the Colts.
