Through more than a week of NFL free agency, the Arizona Cardinals<\/a> have been active, although they have not made any real significant moves like last offseason. It is time to start grading their initial moves.<\/p>\n We don’t know how they will actually work out, as the season is still months away, but based on need, fit and value, we can give initial grades.<\/p>\n Let’s look at long snapper Casey Kreiter.<\/p>\n Grading the Cardinals’ signing of Casey Kreiter<\/p>\n Grade: C<\/p>\n Need a news break? It appears that Aaron Brewer, after 10 seasons as the Cardinals’ long snapper, might retire.<\/p>\n Kreiter spent the last six seasons with the New York Giants, the last two when new Cardinals special teams coordinator Michael Ghobrial was his special teams coach.<\/p>\n He is a one-time Pro Bowler, back in 2018. He has played in every game since 2017.<\/p>\n Brewer was very good. Kreiter is, too, but he is a long snapper.<\/p>\n The Cardinals didn’t get any younger. Kreiter is one month younger than Brewer.<\/p>\n This is the second time that Kreiter is Brewer’s successor. He became the Denver Broncos’ long snapper in 2016, the year Brewer came in Arizona.<\/p>\n Does the move improve the Cardinals?
