Another offseason of uncertainty surrounds the Cleveland Browns<\/a> and the\u00a0long-term answer at quarterback<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Shedeur Sanders had some moments in 2025 that seemed promising behind an awful offensive line with poor weapons, but it wasn’t enough to give you complete confidence that he is the team’s franchise quarterback, though he does deserve a shot to try and prove if he can be in 2026.<\/p>\n

It’s not a great quarterback class at all in April’s draft, outside of the guy who will go number one overall, Fernando Mendoza. During an interview on 92.3 The Fan<\/a>, Browns<\/a> insider Nathan Zegura thinks the Browns could turn their eyes on Penn State’s Drew Allar, who is from Medina.<\/p>\n

“What I think is more likely is a guy like Drew Allar, who the Browns were very, very, high on. I think there’s a good chance Drew Allar is a Cleveland Brown. I could see them taking a flyer on Allar in the 3rd or 4th round.”<\/p>\n

Could Allar to the Browns work?<\/p>\n

Allar has intriguing physical tools, but he’s not a guy that I would take anywhere in the top 100 picks and, honestly, would steer clear of completely. He has the size and good arm strength, but his mechanics are a mess, he struggles in big games, and his accuracy is wildly erratic<\/a>.<\/p>\n
