In every offseason, similar to the regular season, there are winners and losers.<\/p>\n

The New York Jets have been losing a lot over the last few years. Fifteen years of playoff-less football and almost 10 years of below-.500-play have left fans frustrated by the lack of improvement.<\/p>\n

There may be light at the end of the tunnel, though. <\/p>\n

Eleven players were brought into the organization this offseason to shake up a Jets roster<\/a> that won just three games in 2025, which fits nicely beside two first-round picks in the 2026 NFL draft.<\/p>\n

But the future of the Jets organization isn\u2019t the only thing to be excited about in Florham Park, NJ. Three Jets employees have walked away as winners over the first two weeks of the start of the new league year.<\/p>\n

Garrett Wilson<\/p>\n

Does Garrett Wilson<\/a> finally have a quarterback he can trust to reach his full potential?<\/p>\n

New York is hoping Geno Smith can provide a positive answer to that very question.<\/p>\n

Outside of bringing in a competent quarterback into the fray, the Jets also did right by Wilson in other phases of the offense. Franchise-tagging Breece Hall<\/a> means New York will have another offensive weapon to take pressure off the star receiver.<\/p>\n

All expectations, at this point, are that the Jets will also add a receiver early in the 2026 draft.<\/p>\n

Wilson is easily New York\u2019s best player right now. That isn\u2019t changing either with how they have operated this offseason. <\/p>\n

Darren Mougey<\/p>\n

This time of year is always a good one for general managers. Darren Mougey is no exception. <\/p>\n

The Jets general manager has addressed several key needs, kept all of his top draft stock, and still owns over $40 million in cap space for the rest of the offseason.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a good time to be Mougey right now. <\/p>\n

While that does not guarantee the Jets\u2019 front office will continue to succeed, it\u2019s fair to call a spade a spade. New York\u2019s GM has done a good job, keeping the organization flexible so it can continue improving the roster as he sees fit.<\/p>\n

Jowon Briggs<\/p>\n

The Jets\u2019 defensive line was a mess last season. New York would not have been wrong to blow the whole thing up and start fresh across the board.<\/p>\n

They did not take that route.<\/p>\n

The work of Jowon Briggs last season<\/a> was one of the few bright spots on an otherwise struggling defense in 2025. Briggs recorded four sacks last season as New York\u2019s only interior pass rusher.<\/p>\n

The Jets\u2019 free agent additions will only help the Briggs reach new heights as well. David Onyemata, Joseph Ossai, and Kingsley Enagbare are all expected to alleviate the pressure on the former Brown to do what he does best.<\/p>\n

If anything, the additions make Jowon Briggs a huge winner this offseason.
