On the latest episode of The Real Forno Show on Vikings 1st & SKOL, host Tyler Forness and producer Dave Stefano break down a whirlwind week in Minnesota Vikings news. Forness didn’t hold back on the early Carson Wentz re-signing, declaring, “I believe that Carson Wentz signing is another signal that they’re done with McCarthy. I really do.” He explained the timing suggests Wentz expects to compete for the QB2 job at minimum, while Dave Stefano pushed back hard: “I definitely think you’re wrong… we now have three first-round draft picks on the squad at QB, which is great.” The co-hosts also previewed detailed contract extension projections for Brian O’Neill (making him the third-highest paid right tackle) and Jordan Addison (roughly three years, $82.5 million as “elite wide receiver two money”), praised the Johnny Hekker signing for his elite holding ability, and discussed the Ryan Van Demark offer sheet for swing tackle depth. Forness then revealed his controversial top five 2026 NFL Draft prospects the Vikings should avoid at pick 18, including Caleb Banks, Jordan Tyson, and Dillon Thieneman.
