BELLA VISTA, Calif. \u2014 The Bella Vista Junior football team has started a GoFundMe for one of their 8u players, Josiah Knight, and his mother after they were critically injured in a vehicle collision,<\/p>\n
Knight, only 9, was put into the pediatric intensive care unit after the accident left him gravely injured. Knight underwent treatment and operations while in a coma. His mother, who was also injured in the crash, was also treated in the trauma unit on another floor.\u00a0<\/p>\n
To this day, Knight is still receiving treatment and surgery, inevitably wracking up medical bills.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Bella Vista Jr. Broncos\u2019 facebook account posted about the incident, sharing Knight\u2019s story and urging people to donate to the GoFundMe while he and his mother recover. The team hopes it can remove additional stressors while they heal.\u00a0<\/p>\n
