Phase Two of the four-phase renovation was nearly complete in March, with Phases Three and Four underway. <\/p>\n
The renovation\u2019s four phases include the following improvements:<\/p>\n
Phase one: Track ReplacementA complete overhaul of the track to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with competitive standards.Phase two: Stadium Lighting UpgradeInstallation of modern, high-capacity lighting for improved visibility, expanded event scheduling, and enhanced safety.Phase three: Visitor-Side EnhancementsNew visitors\u2019 locker roomUpdated concessions and restroom facilitiesAddition of a visitor-side press box to meet growing media needsPhase four: Home-Side RedevelopmentNew and expanded home seatingMultiple new locker rooms for:Boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 trackBoys\u2019 and girls\u2019 soccerVarsity footballConstruction of a state-of-the-art field house featuring:Varsity football locker roomTraining roomWeight roomMulti-use classroomLaundry facilitiesNew concessions and restroom facilitiesUpgraded ticket booths and main entranceExpanded parking areas for easier access and increased event capacity<\/p>\n
Last November, crews were installing modern lighting throughout the stadium as part of Phase Two.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo far, you know, knock on wood, everything\u2019s pretty much on track and should be up and ready for August,\u201d said Kevin Roberts, Harrison County School District athletic director.<\/p>\n
Preserving tradition<\/p>\n
Roberts said the project is designed to preserve the stadium\u2019s history while modernizing its facilities.<\/p>\n

Once completed, Warrior Stadium will feature a state-of-the-art field house.(WLOX)<\/p>\n
\u201cWe didn\u2019t build something new, we updated something with tradition, and we\u2019re taking that tradition and we\u2019re making it look a little bit better, a little more paint, a little more lipstick on it,\u201d Roberts said. \u201cWhen you can mix the new with the excitement and tradition of the old, man, you got something that\u2019s like lightning in a bottle.\u201d<\/p>\n
The stadium is shared by several sports and two middle schools. Roberts said the upgrades show student-athletes that the district is invested in them.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just something to take pride in,\u201d Roberts said. \u201cIt\u2019s something where a student-athlete can see that the district is invested in them and in their success.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roberts said fans should expect an energized atmosphere when the Warriors take the field this fall.<\/p>\n
\u201cGet here, be ready to be loud and be ready to be rowdy, because the D\u2019Iberville Warriors are gonna bring it to the stadium this year and hopefully have a great season like they did last year,\u201d Roberts said.<\/p>\n
The renovation project was announced in June 2025.<\/p>\n
